A highly annoying virus, that seems to love coming back. It has many names. The virus i saw it named as was kasper.exe. What it does is redirect your folders and make them a shortcut and hides your real folders. You are unable to access the contents of your file from the shortcuts and are instead redirected to the desktop or the root of your flash disk.

The good news is that you don't have to format your usb/flash disk. As your files are most likely just hidden. To unhide you real files follow these instructions.

Short method:

Click on "Start" -->Run-->type cmd and click on OK.
Let's assume your removable HD is G:
Enter this command: attrib -h -r -s  /s  /d  g:\*.* (replace the letter g with your external hd "your letter" letter showed under "My Computer"). Make a space between the letters

Long Method:

1. Go to control Panel, Folder Options -- select VIEW--- select Show hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide protected operating system files (recommended) now click APPLY

2. go to your external media and it should show you all your folders hidden including the virus----- delete the virus and all the shortcut folders that have no data in them. create new folders and copy the data from YOUR hidden folders into them. once that is done delete the old hidden folders.

3. enter task manager--- find the program that is still running which will have the same name as the one you just deleted off the hard drive---- right click it and select open file location---- this should show you the virus location---- delete it!

4. return back to control panel, Folder options select view----- select DO NOT show hidden files and folders and recheck Hide protected operating system files (recommended)

5. Restart computer---- open task manager and ensure that the program is no longer running

A huge part of RIM's woes is that the current phone OS, is clunky and slow compared to the blisteringly fast and feature packed android and ios operating systems. BlackBerry 10 is what RIM hopes will change that fact, It's a much more modern, UNIX-based operating system. Judging from what Heins showcased in his keynote, the look and feel of BB10 will be something like a swiss army knife of sorts.

In terms of multitasking, Blackberry is using a new concept called Flow view. The idea is to have all apps integrated into the operating system, letting you move smoothly from task to task without having to first drop what you're doing, manually close one app, then fire up another just to check Facebook, Twitter or Angry Birds. the BB10 keyboard has been given a massive upgrade, the looks and feel of the keyboard look largely the same but will now predict your next word and place them right above the letter it expects you to hit next.

You can then flick words upward to form sentences in a flash or swipe a finger horizontally to quickly delete. RIM will integrate a whole bunch of gesture controls into BlackBerry 10. For example, you'll be able to answer or reject calls by performing a long press then swiping up or down.  RIM's vision is to make BlackBerry 10 adjust itself to each individual user over time. The keyboard for instance will pay attention to where your fingers fall and become better at adapting to your typing behaviours. Enjoy this video showing blackberry's new keyboard concept.

Sometimes when you try edit your registry your pc will say that "Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator" In order to fix this problem. Open the run command and type "gpedit.msc", in your left column go to user config --> Administrative templated --> System. In the right hand column u will scroll down to the end and select "Prevent access to registry editing tools" It will be either be not configured or enabled. If it's enabled, disable it. If it's not configured properly, first enable it, apply settings and then disable it. This should fix your problem and you shoule be able to run the "regedit" command without any issues.

Ok i recently had a problem with my HP Laptop, which boots up to a black screen only showing the documents folder. I always had to press CTRL + ALT +DELETE  go to taskmanager then run and type explorer.exe. The problem is with the registry what you have to do is when you start up your pc for the first time, wait till you see the black screen and documents folder and then press CTRL + ALT + Delete altogether  and select the taskmanager. Then select the run button and enter in the command "regedit" Now in the left hand column navigate to HKEY_LOCALMACHINE/SOFTWARE.MICROSOFT/WindowsNT/Currentversion/winlogon and on the right hand column click shell . And change the data value to "explore.exe", for my pc it said "explorer.exe regsvr.exe" and i had to delete the "regsvr.exe". After you have done this task, restart your pc and presto everything should work.
