The ControllerLook, do you see it ? Well can you ?! Its the salvation of consoles that what that is. Bringing the fun and casual and let's not forget AFFORDABLE back to consoles. When I was just scouring the internet and came upon this, lets just say that I was VERY suprised to see this.

What is this ? Well this is the Ouya gaming console running on the trusty and hackable (in a good way) Android 4.0 ICS. First thought is, but Android ? Console ? Surely the graphics will be rubbish. Oh my dear reader, no no no, have you seen some of the games that are appearing on the Play Store ? lets throw about some fine examples such as the likes of games from Gameloft or that of EA Mobile churning out games that only the top-end devices are likely to ever play. Such games are Backstab and the new FF3 and lastly NOVA3 just for quick mentioning. Now I know this may be a bit lackluster when compared to the X360 or PS3, but now Android devs have a reason to actually develop much better looking games since the hardware that the Ouya is going to be using is possibly the best at the moment as well as allowing the use of OpenGL ES2.0 with 3.0 most probably coming to future Android releases which allow a game like RAGE for example to be ported to the Ouya with hardware permitting.

Well the good news is that the Samsung is boasting a larger capacity 2100 mAh battery, ("that is removable thankfully") than the 1650mAh battery of the Samsung G2. However despite the larger battery capacity the Samsung Galaxy 3 is a power hungry machine, It boasts a huge 4.8 inch 720p HD resolution display compared to the Samsung GS2 4.3 inch display and sports a meaty quad core processor just to boast! I mean really quad core on a cellphone?? it's a bit overkill methinks, but i suppose it future proofs the phone somewhat.

All the impressive tech stated above is what is needed to bring you the flawless HD Super AMOLED images and videos at a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. The kind of power this phone demands should surely be at the highest spectrum of power hungry smart phones as it even eclipses the HTC One X in power specifications, so it's a given that many people including myself would be concerned about the battery life. Unfortunately your fears are mostly true,The phone takes alot longer to charge than the Samsung G2, taking close to 3 hours to charge from a wall socket. Battery life is about 7-8 hours on medium brightness doing some light calling , browsing and gaming. On max brightness playing videos and games, the battery life hits the 4-5 hour mark or even less, im being generous from what i saw.

So what im trying to say in a nice way is that the Samsung Galaxy 3 battery is not really good, but acceptable according to it's peers, but if you want to use the samsung G3 for long, you will have to manage your tasks and scale back a bit on productivity, which sounds a bit counter productive to me.

Samsung Young Pro  GT-B5510 Review

This phone offers the best bang for your buck when it comes to a cheap yet powerful entry level Smartphone.

It’s got android a QWERTY keyboard and a capacitive touch screen and a fast zippy processor with a clock speed of 832 MHz for only R 1450.

It performs most if not all the same functions as the premium Samsung Galaxy S3, even offering near identical GPS functionality. It does come with a rather basic yet functional 3.0 mega pixel camera. And does feature some nice quirks such as “face detect” to unlock the phone.  The Phone’s build quality is good. The material feels light but solid.  In terms of performance and apps, this phone can run rings around recent Smartphone, like the Nokia N8. The Device is blisteringly fast and with no noticeable lag performing most functions, even when fiddling with the camera or running multiple apps.

Unfortunately this phone has some failings, the battery life is poor, and you will have to juice this thing up after every 8 hours. Plus another major failing of this phone is despite the large size of this phone, QWERTY keyboard design feels very cramped; the design translates difficult dialing and occasionally switching of your phone as you try getting a better grip, to type.

This phone won’t set the world on fire, but is a very competent workhorse Smartphone. It will chew through the most arduous tasks; a young professional can through at it, provided a power supply is always nearby.
