TecStories independence and integrity is the core of its business. It cannot be compromised. To this end:
Every story published by Tecstories aims to educate and be as accurate as possible, based on research that seeks to uncover all available facts if possible. TecStories will receive money for a article (advertorial) if deemed acceptable by the editor. TecStories is prepared to pay sources for an article if deemed necessary.
Editorial staff will only be allowed to accept invitations on international travel where the consequence of such will clearly have a benefit to the community TecStories serves. All such invitations need to be cleared with the editor-in-chief, or the person acting in that capacity at the time the offer is received. In every instance, transparency is paramount. Editorial staff are not obliged to file reports on any press conference, convention or expedition they might attend by invitation or otherwise. In every instance potential contributions will be judged on news value.
Editorial staff for TecStories will not act illegally, dishonestly, in breach of trust. The integrity and, where relevant, confidentiality of TecStories news sources is paramount.
TecStories will accept or even publish advertorial material if deemed acceptable by the editor. TecStories has relationships with a variety of companies. These relationships are disclosed in editorial content where and when relevant. Ordinary advertising relationships, content distribution agreements, or service contracts do not require disclosure.
The Editor in chief can refuse any offer that could be misconstrued by the giver or suggest that Tecstories is beholden to particular interests, if TecStories does not share those interest’s. Editorial staff must disclose products offered for review to the Editor in chief.
TecStories is committed to the speedy correction of any errors in fact or interpretation brought to its attention.
Published information not produced by TecStories editorial staff will be clearly marked as such.
TecStories has the right to pull down advertisements for excessively slow or none payment.
